Buster Burlingame’s Birthday Bunny Bash

Every year we throw a birthday party for my bunny Buster. Yes, this is a strange activity, but who do you think writes this blog???

He turned 8 this year, and as always, we order a little carrot cake from the Fresh Market.

...and carrot cake mini-muffins!

And as always, Buster took up a donation for his favorite charity!

DSC02896The guest list changes a little each year, but here are some of the usual suspects…

Randy was super confused about a grown -up party for a bunny rabbit, but I think he got on board with the idea by the time he left. 🙂

These guys have been to all 8 years if I am remembering correctly.

First guest and first-timer too! Tina was on her way to play tennis and needed some gumbo for energy.

I don’t know how I missed snapping a pic of my buddy Mike! He’s one of my chicken champions and I don’t think he’s missed but one or two bunny parties. Forgive me. Here’s a great one from the 2013 soirée.

Mike & Sue. I'd call him the kissing bandit, but he only has eyes for one victim.

Mike and Sue. These two are incorrigible!

And here is the man of the hour–Buster Burlingame on his 8th birthday!

I love you Buster-man!  Hope you have many more parties!

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeen!

Halloween has been particularly boring on my street in past years.  There have never been many houses on this side of da ‘hood, but things have definitely changed! The recent housing boom has brought many new neighbors and trick-or-treaters this year.

Jim carved our little pumpkin and put an ax in his wittle heed.

Pretty awesome, but...

I added the ketchup. :)

It needed ketchup. 🙂

Our kid sent this picture from work.

She was the only one who dressed up for Halloween.

Later in the evening she came over to hand out candy.  We saw some truly awesome costumes this year.

This guy gave me nightmares. I'm still trying to imagine how this worked.

And don’t get me started on this one!

Absolutely no clue whatsoever.

Here is one of my favorite pics of Halloween past.

And finally, I leave you with a picture that shall remain a Halloween mystery.

This one's for you Tama. Come home soon. :(
