Scrappy has decided to crown herself the QUEEN of the castle at our house.

She has made friends with the two male residents of my petting zoo. She has NOTHING to do with the two lady cats who live here though.

I won’t say that Buster enjoys her company because she torments him day and night, but I will admit that he is a VERY tolerant bunny.

Her main BFF and partner in crime is (you guessed it!)  Mr. Mulder.

He’s so handsome!

He plays a bit rough with her, but she seems to love it, and they spend hours chasing each other around the house and wrestling.

I’m not being too wuff, I pwomise!

Mulder gives her a thorough bath every day so she’ll smell like a proper Burlingame.

We had concerns about some spots on Scrappy’s fur that were bare and also were still worried about one of her eyes that wasn’t healing properly so I made an appoint with our wonderful vet Dr. Glasscock, at Goodwin Animal Hospital.

I love this pic of her holding poor little Daisy after her near-death experience with a feral cat. Daisy still lives happily on my friend Debbie’s farm where she co-habitates with her boyfriend Claude the Rooster.  She still remembers me when I visit (Only if I have a pocket full of grapes) 🙂

Dr. Glasscock was busy in surgery so I saw Dr. Sternenberg.  He tested her for worms and gave her a worm treatment, did a skin culture on her fur, and examined her bad eye.  The bad news about her eye is that she has a little ulcer on it resulting from the terrible infection and it will likely never go away.  The good news is that it doesn’t hurt and it doesn’t affect her vision.

Great job Dr. S! I hardly missed Dr. G. 🙂

I’m supposed to call him in a week for the results of the skin culture but he gave me some information on how to treat it in the meantime.  The best part?  He gave me a GREAT BREAK on the cost of the visit because Scrappy is a shelter kitty. The guys are really good folks.  Thanks again, Goodwin Animal Hospital!
